Most AI lives in tabs. We thought it deserved a body.

The right place for an AI you talk to every day is the same place your coffee sits or where you are — not a browser window you have to find again every morning.

What it is

AI Companion That Stays With You

Most AI tools forget you the moment the tab closes. Desklet is built to stay with you — remembering your projects, conversations, goals, and routines over time. It's a personal AI companion designed to learn, assist, and grow alongside you every day.

What it isn't

More Than Another Chat Window

Desklet isn't just another AI tab or wrapper around an API. Desklet OS powers intelligent devices that live beside you in the real world — on your desk, in your workspace, and eventually wherever you go — keeping your interactions natural, personal, and always within reach.

What Desklet OS Actually Does

No buzzwords. No “AI-powered productivity platform” language. These are the core systems Desklet OS brings together to create personal AI companions for students, developers, and everyday users.

Voice That Feels Natural

Desklet robots can hear, understand, and respond in real time through a complete voice pipeline powered by STT, LLMs, and TTS.

Choose providers like Groq or OpenAI, configure voices per robot, and test everything directly from Desklet AI. Whether you're asking study questions, debugging code, or controlling routines, conversations feel fast, natural, and always available from your desk.

Built for

  • Students asking questions out loud
  • Developers building voice-enabled projects
  • Daily hands-free interaction

Memory That Persists Over Time

Most AI chats reset when the tab closes. Desklet keeps context across conversations using long-term memory powered by Mem0.

AI Agents & MCP Tools

Desklet OS connects AI models with real tools through MCP and external agent frameworks like CrewAI.

Personal AI Workspace

Every Desklet robot has its own configurable AI stack.

Routines & Smart Automations

Desklet robots can run custom routines triggered by voice or events.

Desklet Store

Desklet Store is the platform where anyone can get our robots, AI devices, development and learning kits, and other things available in our store.

Three Ways People Are Using Desklet

Not hypothetical personas — these are the kinds of workflows Desklet Robotics is being built around.

Students

Learn with an AI companion you can actually build on.

“Quiz me before tomorrow’s exam.”

“Help me understand this Python project.”

“Remember where I got stuck yesterday.”

Desklet gives students more than another study app. It’s a personal AI companion that sits on the desk, answers questions out loud, remembers learning progress, and helps turn curiosity into real projects.

Students can

  • Learn coding, AI, and robotics hands-on
  • Build custom robot behaviors and automations
  • Experiment with voice AI, memory, and agents
  • Create science fair and university projects
  • Customize their own AI robot using Desklet OS

Desklet isn’t just for consuming AI — it’s for learning how AI systems actually work.

Developers

Build real AI-powered devices, not just another chatbot.

“Connect my GitHub workflow to the robot.”

“Run MCP tools from voice commands.”

“Turn this prototype into a real AI device.”

Desklet OS gives developers a full stack for building AI companions with voice, memory, agents, MCP integrations, and hardware control — all connected to physical devices.

Developers can

  • Connect MCP tools and external agents
  • Build custom integrations and workflows
  • Create AI-powered robotics projects
  • Prototype voice interfaces on real hardware
  • Customize robot personalities and behaviors
  • Use Desklet as a platform for experimentation and product development

Instead of rebuilding the same AI infrastructure from scratch, developers can focus on creating new experiences and devices.

Everyday Users

Personal AI that feels present, not hidden behind tabs.

“Good morning.”

“What do I have planned today?”

“Play my study routine.”

Desklet devices are designed to become part of your daily workspace — always available, always personal, and always ready to help.

Everyday Users can

  • Talk naturally with their AI companion
  • Customize voices, personalities, and routines
  • Create smart desk automations
  • Use voice without constantly opening apps
  • Keep AI interactions connected across conversations
FAQ

Questions we actually get.

Pulled from real emails from the alpha group and the waitlist form. Lightly edited for length.

About the size of a coffee mug — 96 × 96 × 38 mm, 280 g. It sits next to your monitor or on a shelf. The 4-inch screen is for the eyes and the occasional status read-out, not for browsing.

Voice, wake word, and short-term memory: yes, fully offline. Long-term recall and any cloud-based tool calls: no — those need network. We think that’s the right trade. If we ever flip the default, you’ll be the first to know.

Yes. Desklet OS exposes the inference pipeline. Swap in a different Whisper variant, a different TTS voice, or a different chat model behind the same API. We ship sensible defaults; we don’t lock you to them.

Desklet Robotics is the small team building the thing. Desklet OS is the software that runs on it (and, eventually, on a couple of partner devices). The hardware is one expression of the OS.

We haven’t priced the first shipment publicly yet. It will land somewhere between a high-end mechanical keyboard and a mid-tier monitor — not “two months of rent.” Waitlist gets the number first.

Q4 2026 for the first batch. We’ll email a small group on the waitlist in early Q3 with the real details — price, pre-order window, and how the rollout works. No marketing emails between now and then.

A small team in Lahore — hardware engineers, ML folks, and people who got tired of yelling at chat boxes. We answer email from this domain.

We're making a few hundred at first.

First shipment is Q4 2026. We'll email a small group on this list in early Q3 with the real details — price, the pre-order window, and how the rollout works. Until then, nothing else from us.
